Hey... This picture made me realize something... Mega Charizard X kinda has similarities to Zekrom, while Mega Charizard Y has similarities to Reshiram. More of color scheme in Charizard X (but also the spikey things on its arms) and Charizard Y has arm wings like Reshiram (Looks more like white Kyurem's arm things to me, but same thing really.)
Y is still better to me despite the typing. The wings are far more appealing than those tiny, child-like drawn wings of X. The blue flames coming from the mouth? If it was just when the pokemon exhaled, that'd be ok, but permanently just "sitting" there like that. And I really despise the shoulder spikes.
Other than that, I like the colour scheme and typing of Charizard X, but Y looks to be the better design in "my own opinion", which everyone is entitled to. Still glad to be getting Y version, and will probably not use a fire starter anyway because there is Talonflame which I really like over all of these overpowered monstrosities. Will play the game through once with a full set of new pokemon and then make teams with the older pokemon and the mega-evolutions.
Mega Charizard X (black) is only exclusive in Pokemon X while Charizard Y (orange) is only available in Pokemon Y. Each are a seperate Charizard depending on the version you get. Charizard X specializes in Attack while Charizard Y specializes in Sp. Attack.
thanks mate, we got that clear, but don't the ones in "Y" look a little too ordinary, and by the looks of it those in X had been worked on a little more, cuz they got the most radical change in appearance!
Oh, sorry lol didn't see if someone answered you alreay xp And yes, I fully agree. I feel that the Y Charizard was, in a way, cheated out compared to X Charizard :/ I think Y Chaizard should have been dragon/fire since he is plain looking like the original, and the X one should keep the cooler design and colors, but have been fire/flying. That way, each Charizard is evenly 'special' and not one is 'over popular' with both a design and type. I feel that they will loose more sales in 'Y' when it comes to Mega Charizard's form, but I feel Mega Mewtwo Y will probably be the one to hold it up.
Everyone LOVES the X more, but personally, I want Y since he is 'not as popular' and X is overrated imo x3
i believe it's the regular charizard who can evolve into either of these depending on the game. If you have the X version your charizard will change into the black and blue one...while if you have the y version you get the orange one. Same for MewTwo (if you haven't seen his X and Y versions)
Thanks alot for the reply, but dont you think the blue & black Charizard looks a little more extreme than the orange one. The orange one just looks like a cooler old version Charizard. What i mean is, arent the pokemon variations of the same pokemon in different games supposed to be of the same level of "coolness"?
I think the idea was that black and blue would mean hotter fire = more powerful since he is a dragon/fire in this form and they were trying to distinguish it from the other. I really do like both versions though.
Well Charizard X is Dragon/Fire so: 2x Weak: Ground, Rock, and Dragon Neutral: Normal, Water, Ice, Fighting, Poison, Flying, Psychic, Ghost, Dark, and Fairy 1/2x Resistant: Electric, Bug, and Steel 1/4x Resistant: Fire and Grass
Mega Charizard Y: 4x Weak: Rock 2x Weak: Water and Electric Neutral: Normal, Ice, Poison, Flying, Psychic, Ghost, Dragon, and Dark 1/2x Resistant: Fire, Fighting, Steel, and Fairy 1/4x Resistant: Grass and Bug Immunity: Ground Those are their weaknesses
Well, they'll only change the color. For X: it's a regular charizard color. For Y: it's the black shiny color. Well, I hope it's like that, I don't think I'll be used to a mega charizard that's not orange... at least it's a dragon type finally an actual dragon.
